Motorola -X Phone ,It's an Awesome Looking Mobile Phone

The phone which was labelled Motorola ‘X’ phone will be called ‘Moto X’ and will be assembled in an old Nokia plant. Moto X will be Motorola’s first phone to be assembled in the US. The phone will be assembled at the now defunct Nokia plant in Fort Worth, Texas along with Motorola’s other plants in Brazil and China. Talking about the phone being the first USA assembled device, Dennis Woodside said, “We’ll be able to iterate on design much faster, create a leaner supply chain, respond much more quickly to purchasing trends and demands, and deliver devices to people here much more quickly. And as a part of Google we’re being encouraged to take big bets on things that make a difference.”

While the phone has been confirmed, Motorola and Google are still keeping the specifications under wraps. While initially it was thought that the X phone will replace Google’s Nexus range of phones, Google denied the rumours. So with Nexus sales already strong, Google will have to come up with clear distinctions to set the two phones apart.

One clear difference we guess will be the Motorola X phone might skip stock Android. While previous images and leaks suggested stock Android for the phone (as reported by GSMArena), we’re slightly sceptical. Motorola might keep the phone largely stock Android but tweak certain aspects to set it apart from the Nexus range.

The phone is rumoured to run on Android Jelly Bean version 4.2 (as Key Lime Pie is still now where in sight) . Seeing trends, the phone will most probable be a quad-core device with a 2 GB RAM. The phone might come in internal memory variants and skip the memory card or come with a smaller internal memory and the option to expand. There’s still no clarity on the ROM.

The screen and display could be anywhere from 4.5-inches to 5-inch phablet though leaks suggest 4.7-inches to be the ideal Moto X display size. Reports also suggest that the phone will come with Gorilla Glass 3 (most phone presently used Gorilla Glass 2 for screen protection). The battery is a whopping 4000 mAh!

The phone is also said to be water-resistant and we might not be surprised, as that seems to be the current trend with Sony (read Xperia Z and ZR) and Samsung (Samsung Active), the leading smartphone makers.

The phone has been one of the most speculated and awaited phones since Google’s take-over of Motorola. The phone has been in leaks as the Motorola ‘X’ phone, Ghost phone, not a phone but a complete ‘X’ series, etc.

While one of the rumours has been laid to rest by the announcement, the partial news revealed has stirred up an interest with additional rumours flying around. We just hope Google ends the suspense soon and announces the phone as early as possible!
